Vermilion

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Overview

Vermilion is designed to minimize data collection. There is no account, no sign-in, and your conversations are never stored on Vermilion's servers.

Conversation data

Conversations are saved in your personal iCloud account (if iCloud is available on your device) or locally on your device. They are not accessible to the Vermilion developers.

Vendors

Google

Vermilion uses Google Gemini to power responses. During a conversation, your voice input and messages are sent to Google's servers to generate responses. Google's handling of that data depends on which tier you use:

Cloudflare

When starting or resuming a conversation, Vermilion connects to a small service hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. This connection does not contain conversation data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Crash reporting

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide the Vermilion developers with crash reports that are not linked to your identity. No other analytics or telemetry is collected.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
